Photos submitted by Lutz Franke

Objects from the 6th dyn. tomb of the "physician in the palace" called Qar, found in Saqqara in 2000.

The round object is an alabaster offering table (inscribed with a list of offerings), found in front of the limestone false door of this mastaba tomb.
Below the table are the ca 30(?) copper or bronze tools, by some presumed to be "surgical instruments", found inside this tomb.
To the left and right are two offering tablets, each with the seven holy oils.

All the objects are displayed in the Imhotep-Museum in Saqqara. Photos taken by Lutz Franke in March 2007.
